Reza grew up in Dhaka in a very supportive family. He obtained his MBA in Accounting from The University of Dhaka with a CGPA of 3.71 out of 4 in 2004. His late father Mashir Hossain was an award-winning (Ekushe Padak) journalist and a founding member of Dhaka press Club. He is married to Nusrat Hassin and has three kids: Nehla, Zarar and Ridan.

Rezaul Hossain has more than 27 years of work experience in Sales, Distribution, Marketing & Product Development in ICT, Telecommunication and Digital Money industries. In his role as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Bkash, where IFC & Gates Foundation have stakes, has guided the company to drive revenue & customer acquisition in a compliant manner. His decisive leadership helped bKash to acquire over 22 million customers within five years, making it the ‘world’s largest mobile financial service provider’ in terms of subscriber, number of agents and transactions. Previously he has served in Grameenphone ( A Telenor Venture), Airtel Bangladesh ( A Bharti Airtel Venture), and Citycell in Bangladesh at various leadership capacities.

Going to another side of the table is always challenging and having a secure life and walking to the uncertainty takes courage. But to work for one’s own dream and make positive changes in people's lives and provide opportunities for them is always worth it. So Reza thought better late than never to drive his own dream.
